FerAppease Maternal Swine Appeasing Substance
FerAppease Maternal Swine Appeasing Substance
Naturally occurring substance captured in a bottle helps reduce stress and its negative consequences in pigs. Each ml contains 35 mg of the maternal swine appeasing substance (MSAS), secreted by the sebaceous glands which induces an appeasing effect on the nursing offspring. Studies have demonstrated that the use of MSAS before animals were exposed to stressful events reduced the levels of cortisol, inflammatory markers, and body weight loss associated with these events.
When should I use FerAppease?
FerAppease can and should be used every time animals are exposed to management and physiological stressors; stressful management events such as weaning, castration processing, transportation, commingling, farrowing, etc; stressful physiological events such as parturition.
