Vedco Dextrose 50% Solution is indicated for use as a fluid and nutrient replenisher. Provides an immediate source of energy in conditions associated with carbohydrate insufficiency. Useful for rapid but temporary symptomatic treatment of ketosis (acetonemia) in cattle and other hypoglycemic conditions in cattle, horses, sheep, swine, dogs and cats.
Vedco Dextrose 50% Solution Information
Directions:
Warm to body temperature and administer slowly, preferably by intravenous infusion only. Treatment may be repeated in several hours or on successive days as needed.
Cattle: 100 to 500 mL depending on size and condition.
Bottle Size: 500 ml
Contraindications:
Do not administer intraperitoneally.
Precautions:
Store at a controlled room temperature between 59-86°F (15-50°C).
Cautions:
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
