A nutritional supplement that provides a source of energy and electrolytes for calves, lambs, pigs and foals in times of stress. Contains a patented non-water absorbing, lecithin coated pectin fiber which allows flexibility in the timing of feeding. A unique buffering system allows Diaque® to be mixed with milk, milk replacer and warm water.

Diaque Feeding Directions:

Calves: For oral use only. Mix 1 packet/2 scoops (100 g) of Diaque in 2 quarts (1891 ml) of warm water, milk or milk replacer. Feed immediately. For larger calves or those requiring more energy, mix 1 1/2 packets/3 scoops (150 g) Diaque in 3 quarts (2837 ml) of warm water, milk or milk replacer. Feed every 8 to 10 hours for 24 to 48 hours. Discard any unconsumed mixture each day.

Lambs, Kids, Crias: Remove from dam. Each feeding for a 10 lb animal should consist of 1 tablespoon (10 g) of Diaque mixed in 1/2 pint (236 ml) of warm water. The mixture may be fed with bucket or bottle. Adjust amounts for larger or smaller animals. Normal feedings are for 2 days.

Pigs: Mix 1 packet/2 scoops (100 g) of Diaque in 2 quarts (1891 ml) of warm water for a litter of 8 pigs. Feed in 4 feedings per day from a pan. Discard any remaining portion at each feeding. Normal feeding is for 2 days.

Foals: Mix 1 packet/2 scoops (100 g) of Diaque in 2 quarts (1891 ml) of warm water. Feed this amount to foal twice daily.The mixture may be fed with bucket or bottle. Amount recommended is for a 110 lb foal. Adjust for larger or smaller animals. Normal feedings are for 2 days.

Diaque is a unique formula containing a patented hydrophobic citrus fiber.

Diaque supports fast absorption of electrolytes and water. Its unique three step buffering system allows it to be fed with milk, milk replacer or water. Diaque may be used during times of stress due to changes in feed or environment. Diaque can be mixed in the normal milk feeding.

GENERAL INFORMATION: This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and swine against tetanus. This product was licensed prior to the requirement to establish a minimum age for use. The duration of immunity is unknown. Safety in pregnant animals is unknown.

Tetanus Toxoid is prepared by detoxifying tetanus toxin in such a manner as to allow the antigenic properties to remain intact. Product is purified, concentrated and adjuvanted to provide a low dose effective immunizing agent.

Each serial is tested for purity, safety, and potency in accordance with USDA requirements.

Tetanus is caused by a neurotoxin produced by growth of Clostridium tetani, an anaerobic (lives without air) micro-organism, in necrotic tissue. Affected animals become stiff, have difficulty swallowing, and have an increased pulse rate. Breathing is labored. Spasmodic contractions of the muscular system occur, such as contracting muscles of the jaw.

Tetanus stricken animals may be unusually sensitive to light and heat. Temperature of the animal generally remains normal, elevating only shortly before death.

Protective antibody levels usually occur about two weeks after the second injection of the primary immunization series. In contrast, administration of Tetanus Antitoxin is recommended for immediate, emergency, passive treatment of exposed animals with unknown vaccination history or with signs of tetanus infection.

DIRECTIONS: Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Store at 2-8° C. Do not freeze. Do not mix with other products. Shake well before use. Use entire contents when first opened.

PRECAUTIONS: A transitory local reaction may occur at injection site. Anaphylactoid reaction may occur following administration of products of this nature. If noted, administer adrenalin or equivalent. In case of human exposure, consult a physician.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION: For primary immunization, two doses should be administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly approximately 30 days apart. Use intramuscularly for horses as local reactions are more likely to occur if injected subcutaneously.

Horses: 1 ml IM

Cattle: 1 ml SC or IM

Sheep, Goats, Swine: 0.5 ml SC or IM

Historically, annual single dose revaccination has been recommended. Contact veterinarian for advice.

OTHER INFORMATION: Contains thimerosal and formalin as preservatives. Tetanus Toxoid Concentrate is available in single dose size packaged 10 vials to the carton, and in 10 dose vials.
