Baby Pig Restart draws pigs in transition to dry feed, ensuring each baby pig gets the additional nutrients and energy needed to help avoid starve outs and stunting. Acidified to help promote optimum digestion and balance the gut pH. May be administered as an oral drench, top-dressed or mixed in drinking water.

Contains bovine blood plasma and protein; whey and animal energy sources.

Directions:

Top-dress - 1/2 oz per pig on the starter ration in feeder trough twice daily for 2 days

Mix in water - Mix 4 oz in 1 quart warm water to form a palatable gruel 1 day post weaning. Feed 1 quart gruel per 20 pigs 2-3 time daily.

Oral drench - For severely stunted or 1-5 day old piglets. Mix 1 part with 2 parts water and stir well. Slowly feed 0.5 oz on back of tongue. Repeat as needed, with a maximum of 2 oz per pig daily.

STORAGE

Store in a dry room at temperatures between 4° C and 30° C (40° F - 86° F). Once bag is opened, seal bag with tape or binder and place unused portion in a dry air sealable container.

This product was made in a feed manufacturing facility that does not handle or store products containing animal proteins prohibited in ruminant feed.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use product for 2 days, whether on feed or in water.

Top Dressing:

Top dress up to 1/2 ounce by weight (1 fl. oz) per pig of Baby Pig Restart on the pig starter, 1 ounce/pig/day maximum.

Liquid Feeding (Gruel):

Day 1 post weaning: Mix 4 ounces of Baby Pig Restart in 1 quart of warm water to form a palatable gruel. Feed 1 quart gruel per 20 pigs 2 to 3 times per day in a pan to attract pigs.

For 1-5 Day Old Pigs:

Mix 1 part of Baby Pig Restart with 2 parts of water and stir well to make a suspension. Slowly feed 0.5 oz (15 mL) of the suspension on the back of the tongue to severely stunted or starved 1-5 day-old baby pigs. Repeat as needed, typically feed 1 oz (30 mL) of suspension, with a maximum of 2 oz (60 mL) of suspension/pig/day.

GENERAL INFORMATION: This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and swine against tetanus. This product was licensed prior to the requirement to establish a minimum age for use. The duration of immunity is unknown. Safety in pregnant animals is unknown.

Tetanus Toxoid is prepared by detoxifying tetanus toxin in such a manner as to allow the antigenic properties to remain intact. Product is purified, concentrated and adjuvanted to provide a low dose effective immunizing agent.

Each serial is tested for purity, safety, and potency in accordance with USDA requirements.

Tetanus is caused by a neurotoxin produced by growth of Clostridium tetani, an anaerobic (lives without air) micro-organism, in necrotic tissue. Affected animals become stiff, have difficulty swallowing, and have an increased pulse rate. Breathing is labored. Spasmodic contractions of the muscular system occur, such as contracting muscles of the jaw.

Tetanus stricken animals may be unusually sensitive to light and heat. Temperature of the animal generally remains normal, elevating only shortly before death.

Protective antibody levels usually occur about two weeks after the second injection of the primary immunization series. In contrast, administration of Tetanus Antitoxin is recommended for immediate, emergency, passive treatment of exposed animals with unknown vaccination history or with signs of tetanus infection.

DIRECTIONS: Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Store at 2-8° C. Do not freeze. Do not mix with other products. Shake well before use. Use entire contents when first opened.

PRECAUTIONS: A transitory local reaction may occur at injection site. Anaphylactoid reaction may occur following administration of products of this nature. If noted, administer adrenalin or equivalent. In case of human exposure, consult a physician.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION: For primary immunization, two doses should be administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly approximately 30 days apart. Use intramuscularly for horses as local reactions are more likely to occur if injected subcutaneously.

Horses: 1 ml IM

Cattle: 1 ml SC or IM

Sheep, Goats, Swine: 0.5 ml SC or IM

Historically, annual single dose revaccination has been recommended. Contact veterinarian for advice.

OTHER INFORMATION: Contains thimerosal and formalin as preservatives. Tetanus Toxoid Concentrate is available in single dose size packaged 10 vials to the carton, and in 10 dose vials.
