Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health

Porcine Reproductive & Respiratory Syndrome-Circovirus Vaccine

Reproductive & Respiratory Form, Type 2, Modified Live Virus, Killed Baculovirus Vector

Mycoplasma Hyopneumoniae Bacterin

This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy swine 3 weeks of age or older against Porcine Circovirus Type 2 (PCV2), Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, and respiratory form of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) virus. The duration of immunity is at least 4 months against the respiratory form of PRRS disease, at least 4 months against PCV2, and at least 26 weeks against Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data go to productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

Composition: This product contains PCV2a.

Precautions: Store at 35-46°F (2-8°C). Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the carton. In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine. Not for use in pregnant swine or boars. Indicated for use in PRRS virus-positive herds only. Vaccine virus may be shed and transmitted to other populations of swine in contact with vaccinated swine. The duration of potential vaccine virus transmission may vary. Use of the vaccine in herds intended to remain PRRS virus seronegative is contraindicated. Introduction of vaccinated pigs into herds intended to remain PRRS virus seronegative is contraindicated. In case of human exposure, contact a physician. Inactivate unused contents before disposal.

Preservative: Neomycin.

Directions and dosage: Shake each bottle of liquid product before use. Insert a vented transfer spike into Ingelvac MycoFLEX® 2 headspace bottle. Invert the Ingelvac CircoFLEX® 1 bottle over the Ingelvac MycoFLEX® 2. Transfer the full contents of the vaccine into the Ingelvac MycoFLEX® 2 bottle via the transfer spike and gently shake. Remove the Ingelvac CircoFLEX® 1 bottle and slowly insert the transfer spike into the Ingelvac PRRS® MLV 3 vaccine bottle, releasing the vacuum. Transfer a portion of the mixed vaccine from the Ingelvac MycoFLEX® 2 bottle into the Ingelvac PRRS® MLV 3 bottle. The amount transferred needs to be enough to rehydrate the Ingelvac PRRS® MLV 3 product. Flip the Ingelvac PRRS® MLV 3 and Ingelvac MycoFLEX® 2 bottles - still attached by transfer spike - to transfer rehydrated product back into the Ingelvac MycoFLEX® 2 bottle. Shake well and use immediately. Rehydrate only with the accompanying vaccines, do not mix other materials.

Using aseptic technique, inject a single 2 mL dose of vaccine intramuscularly.

TETANUS TOXOID-CONCENTRATED

Colorado Serum

Adjuvanted

GENERAL INFORMATION: This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and swine against tetanus. This product was licensed prior to the requirement to establish a minimum age for use. The duration of immunity is unknown. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data, see productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

Safety in pregnant animals is unknown.

Tetanus Toxoid is prepared by detoxifying tetanus toxin in such a manner as to allow the antigenic properties to remain intact. Product is purified, concentrated and adjuvanted to provide a low dose effective immunizing agent.

Each serial is tested for purity, safety, and potency in accordance with USDA requirements.

Tetanus is caused by a neurotoxin produced by growth of Clostridium tetani, an anaerobic (lives without air) micro-organism, in necrotic tissue. Affected animals become stiff, have difficulty swallowing, and have an increased pulse rate. Breathing is labored. Spasmodic contractions of the muscular system occur, such as contracting muscles of the jaw.

Spasmodic contractions of the muscular system occur, such as contracting muscles of the jaw. Thus, the term “lockjaw” is often used. Legs and tail are often stiff with abdominal muscles contracted. Tetanus stricken animals may be unusually sensitive to light and heat. Temperature of the animal generally remains normal, elevating only shortly before death.

Protective antibody levels usually occur about two weeks after the second injection of the primary immunization series. In contrast, administration of Tetanus Antitoxin is recommended for immediate, emergency, passive treatment of exposed animals with unknown vaccination history or with signs of tetanus infection.

DIRECTIONS: Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Store at 2-8° C. Do not freeze. Do not mix with other products. Shake well before use. Use entire contents when first opened.

PRECAUTIONS: A transitory local reaction may occur at injection site. Anaphylactoid reaction may occur following administration of products of this nature. If noted, administer adrenalin or equivalent. In case of human exposure, consult a physician.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION: For primary immunization, two doses should be administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly approximately 30 days apart. Use intramuscularly for horses as local reactions are more likely to occur if injected subcutaneously.

Horses: 1 ml IM

Cattle: 1 ml SC or IM

Sheep, Goats, Swine: 0.5 ml SC or IM

Historically, annual single dose revaccination has been recommended. Contact veterinarian for advice.

OTHER INFORMATION: Contains thimerosal and formalin as preservatives. Tetanus Toxoid Concentrate is available in single dose size packaged 10 vials to the carton, and in 10 dose vials.
